fashion + class & jet lag | The Blog

Contrary to the stereotypical of wanting to darken fashion for the colder season, Monique Lhuillier has other things in mind when it comes to Fall/Winter 2012. Her inspiration- volcanoes. Fire, heat & lava. With figure-fitting & belted silhouettes to be sensually suggestive, the collection is also an eruption of black & red, lava & obsidian.

Softening this feeling of fiery empowerment, lace & tulle subliminally validate femininity. The full-length dresses flow: light & billowing. Some pieces with character include the geometric embroidered cocktail dress & the nude tulle trumpet gown with red embroidery. Walking down the runway, each volcanic piece flirtatiously smoldered into Manolo Blahnik heels. | Giuseppe
